We comprehended As-Salam Jame Mosque as such that would be a part of the surrounding landscape/nature. Its spatial arrangement, lighting and ventilation, sense of enclosure, use of material, construction technique and above all how it imprints impression on human minds by embodiment of spirituality – were the main concerns. The design was focused to integrate land, air, water & light with Space and Form by orientation, morphology and setting of the mosque. We tried to design the mosque in a way that would be a spontaneous place for congregation and gathering to form a social bonding and a source of spirituality.
