Al Fozan Award signs a memorandum of understanding with Kazan Federal University, Russia

On the sidelines of the jury meeting of the third cycle of Abdullatif Al Fozan Award for Mosque Architecture held in Paris from 21-23 January 2019, Dr. Mashary Al Naim, Secretary-General of the Award, signed a memorandum of understanding with Kazan Federal University in the Federal Republic of Tatarstan. Dr. Ramil Khairataldov, Director of the Institute of International Relations at the University, signed this Memorandum with the approval of the Committee.

According to this memorandum, the two parties will work to document mosques in the Russian Federation within the “Mosqpedia” Project which aims to be the biggest encyclopedia specialized in mosque architecture in the world. The two sides will also begin to add all books, references and researches on the construction of mosques in the digital library “Asfaar”. The award is working to provide all the information about mosque architecture on the online portal of the award. www.alfozanaward.org
